Our wood mosaics are produced by artisans from variety of reclaimed wood species such as Sap, paddock, camura, and teak to more simple wood species such as Oak found in the Asia. Vintage old recycled wood is collected and hand cut, dried and then arranged into bundles to create a simple mosaic, cube or a rectangular design to create a memorable art. This unique techniques, creates a stylish wall panel which made from solid wood mosaic mounted on mesh and or plywood. Fitting well into both traditional and contemporary environments, the designs are suitable for both residential and commercial settings.


How to Install Coconut Mosaic Tiles and Panels

COCOMOSAIC panels are natural and suitable for use in indoor environments. It can be applied/installed easily. You don't need to be an expert to bring exotic look into your home. It can be applied to masses of walls, ceilings and even light traffic flooring.

Steps

  1. Adapting to temperature - Open the boxes for 24 hours before installation to let the tiles adapt to the installation temperature.
  2. Preparing the tools - Prepare the tools and equipments. The glue that you need is silicon sealant for use in glass, windows, ceramics etc.
  3. Pre-installation cleaning - Clean up the walls and ceilings that you want the panels to be applied.
  4. Applying the glue - Apply the silicone glue on the panel’s back-side surface, to form in 8 x 8 even grids.
  5. Pasting the panels - Paste coconut panel onto the wall and press it for 5 seconds to make sure all the panel’s backside is flatten against the wall. For the next panel, make sure that its position is well aligned with the previous ones.
    • You may give a spacing gap of 3 mm between the tile for grout (if you don’t use grout, you leave the spacing gaps to 1-2 mm)
  6. Fill up the gaps - When done, use grout to fill up the spacing gaps.
    • Use sealant if you choose spacing gaps of 1-2 mm
    • Remove unnecessary overflows by damped clothes.
  7. Finishing touch - If coconut panels are too big and need to be cut, tear along a glued joint, and then use a grinder to shorten further to the desired size.

Tips

  • We recommend Dow Corning sealant as the preferred glue.
  • Coco-mosaic panels are easy to clean and maintain.
  • Clean regularly with a mop or by vacuum cleaner.

Warnings

  • The products should be stored in a horizontal position, stacked to a maximum of ten boxes.
  • Must be stored in dry environments, airy and preferably on pallet.
